今天在書局看了下Time Magazine(只能挑簡單的看XD),

其中內容這頁10 questions很有意思,

訪問了最近因為新書又掀起一番波瀾的霍金先生

發現網站上也有內容,

在此節錄分享,

特別喜歡他回答宇宙起源的說法,

拿南極來譬喻真是不賴:)

Does the universe end? If so, what is beyond it?

Observations indicate that the universe is expanding at an ever 

increasing rate. It will expand forever, getting emptier 

and darker. Although the universe doesn't have an end, it had a 

beginning in the Big Bang.

One might ask what is before that, but the answer is that there 

is nowhere before the Big Bang, just as there is nowhere south 

of the South Pole.

Graphene 石墨烯

今年的Nobel Prize in Physics頒給了研究Graphene的Andre Geim與Konstantin Novoselov,
查了一下中文wikipedia,
這個東西真的是很有趣,
還發現一篇師大教授寫的文章,
相當不錯, 在此分享, 順便練習利用Scribd內嵌pdf檔案:)

畫面上方可選擇為全螢幕, 用全螢幕會比較舒適,
畫面左下角可選擇顯示模式, 有scroll, book等, 翻頁特效還蠻炫的~
